Some comments on last nights performance!!!

“My groupie/critic in the audience thought we looked AND sounded great. Very smart, all in black, uniform use of folders but looking at conductor and audience and good use of dynamics for soft and loud. We’ll really smash it in Warkworth. Onwards and upwards.

Ps. Simon also said we sounded great. ( he used to conduct a choir Fionnuala is in).”

Says it all - our second foray in a month south of the Roman wall, this time to the wilds of Wylam, resulted in a very pleasant evening with three choirs of very contrasting styles performing to a sell out audience. Lots of good feel around.

Hats off to Graham who performed admirably as our front man - surely his reference to Mr Sh*te will go down as a classic in VoiceMale annals. It certainly made an impression on the audience😂.

And our singing certainly made a very positive impression too - I know we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. What an excellent warm up to the climax of our Christmas concert next week in Warkworth.

It was Johns birthday 🎂 and Sally was good enough to provide a cake so that we could help John celebrate (rumour is it’s his 65th👍🏼🥳) - could this be some sort of VoiceMale ritual to adopt at future gigs - an energy giving team cake to be consumed immediately before our performance’s 🎭 😂.

So well done - twas a really lovely evening. And major thanks again to Graham who admirably stepped in to the breach with Jon on his tour.

Onwards to the Tap n Spile and thence to Warkworth - what a great way to get in to the Christmas spirit.
