Voicemale - VoiceMale across the globe 🌏 29th May 2025

Dear fellow warblers,

It was heartwarming to see that following the return of Rik and I from a successful trip to Iceland to convert Icelandic manhood to the wisdom of VoiceMale, many of our members are continuing the good work by undertaking conversion missions to all parts of the world 🌍- whether it be to Mexico 🇲🇽, France 🇫🇷, Greece 🇬🇷, Austria 🇦🇹, Ireland 🇮🇪, Alnwick or even two brave souls trying to convert the sweaties 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 - we are indeed a truly international, tariff free, VoiceMale organisation.

With all this good work going on overseas one might assume that our numbers doon the Meth Haaall would be significantly depleted - but no!!!! - 19 of us turned up and sang wor wee hearts oot🥰 - however we look forward to welcoming back our roving missionaries next week and resuming our full complement.

Jon had us doing Drovers, that Sting song 🎶(?), The cool of the day and Brian and Rosie - all sounded pretty good to me. Fiona is back with us next week 🥳 and Jon would, in particular, like us to learn the words for Drovers as he reckons it’s very close to being concert ready.

We’ve been invited to sing at a garden party at the Alnwick Brewery Tap on Saturday 2nd August and as the beer loving lads we are there was great enthusiasm expressed in this occasion. Unfortunately Jon is not available so it was agreed that those who are interested would turn up and do an impromptu session - we’re going to try to develop a repertoire which would allow us to do this in the future on the few occasions when Jon may not be around.

Well the weather doesn’t look so great at the moment but what a great May it has been. I’m sure it’ll get better over the weekend ☀️ and blue skies will return.

Have a lovely weekend and remember to be kind to each other. Gotta rush off as going to Holy Island with 3 of the grandkids and the causeway closes at 1455!!!
