Voicemale - Santas Morpeth Boy Band rocks Blyth 🎄🎶🎵🎅🏽

Fresh from our Wassailing exploits on Sundays Morpeth two hour Marathon (£300 raised for Multiple Sclerosis 👏!!) your heroes from Northumberland’s (oldish - well, relatively mature) boy band performed beautifully 🎶🎵to a very appreciative audience in the sunny Borough of Blyth last night👏. Admittedly, prior to the commencement of the evenings serious warbling, there were one or two mutterings of slightly abused and sore vocal cords following Sundays Morpeth Marathon, but these thoughts were rapidly vanquished as the boys rapidly hit top speed (but thankfully no F#’s required) and performed the repertoire with laser precision applied to the 11 Chrimble (🎄🎅🏽) songs chosen for the event. We even managed a new spin on Ding Dong 🔔 🛎️ as the boss explained to the sailors in the audience (well it was Blyth) that this was really not a Christmas song but it was actually a sea shanty 🤥 🙃 🤥….how does he get away with it🤪🧐….he’s definitely got a touch of the blarney ☘️ in him. St Cuthberts looked really lovely last night with a massive collection of Christmas 🎄🎄🎄trees - well done St Cuthberts. The acoustics were brilliant and I thought we easily filled the space. We got lots of compliments on our singing at Morpeth and again last night at Blyth. That’s two Xmas gigs down and two to go. There’s no doubt that we look a lot more professional and united as a group since we modified our performance “uniform” to pure black - so please let’s continue with that for now and stick to black shoes, pants and shirts for our performances…. 🙏 Well JD and Janice are now on tour - we wish them good luck, big audiences and good CD sales (only 999,000 to go!). We won’t see Jon until the 18/12 just before the Warkworth gig. But we are really fortunate to have the legend that is the man, Graham Stacy, stepping in as MD for this week and next and for the Wylam gig. For those that don’t know Graham he was MD for VM for over 20 years prior to Jon joining us so he’s pretty au fait with us and our repertoire.
