Mijn lieve vrienden

So after the last few weeks we didn’t know quite what to expect temperature wise at the haa’ll last night 🌡️ - everyone was prepared for Baltic temps ⛷️ - mufflers, beanies, ski pants with the odd hip flask (only kidding Antony!!) on show. But all these preparations turned out to be completely unnecessary - in fact it was roasting 🥵 nd coats and pullovers were being shed at a rate of knots as Sahara temperatures were reached and exceeded!!! We had another good turnout but with slightly lower numbers than in recent times. The bari’s seem to be taking over the world with 7 on show - there was 6 tunes, 3 tenors and 3 basses. Jon had us perfecting Brian and Rosie which will undoubtedly be a major choral hit when we’ve finally get it right. Then on to old favourites (comfort blankets!!) Roll on that Day and This Train with, in the absence of Joe and Will, admirable solos from both Henry and George. Lots of discussion ensued about the Annual Dinner at the Martino Lounge on the 12th February. This is an informal occasion and all members and guests are invited but we need to finalise numbers so if you’ve not already done so let Alan P know if you’re interested and email him your meal choice (see below for the menu). The Voicemale 25 group shared the fruits of their meeting last week and were excited to suggest a coach tour (Executive coach of course!!) of various tap rooms and hostelries in the region with singing and imbibing of ale 🍺 at each venue - surprisingly (🤪) there was a lot of enthusiasm about this - more details to follow. The group has lots of interesting ideas and currently comprises Gez, Paul W, Rik, Paul F and Patrick - let Gez know if you feel you can contribute ideas 💡 . Suffice to say we’re going to have a varied and exciting year ahead of us.

Have a great weekend all - enjoy the sunshine and blue skies - and be kind to each other.

Onwards and upwards Voicemale👆 😍🤩🎵🎉🍺🍻🤸🏽‍♀️ 🚀.
