What a merry night we had in Warkworth last night. The culmination of a busy end of year with 5 gigs and lots of practices in the past 4 weeks. It’s fair to say we were getting the hang of it by the end of last nights session!!😂🎵

By now you’ll have seen Mike R’s lovely words on email (and What’s app) - there’s not a lot that I can add to that!!! You may also have seen the lovely videos which Linda Paul and Mike J kindly took. Thank you all.

There are so many people to thank for this year - but special thanks for last night go to Brian who initially was unavailable but turned out when he realised the tunes were down on numbers. Thank you Brian. Also to Chris P and Linda who traveled down from Edinburgh specially for the concert and then drove back to Edinburgh after the concert - wow, that’s what I call being part of the team!!! Thanks to all who made a special effort to make it to last nights gig and indeed to the twelve other gigs we have had this year - certainly a record number of gigs in post Covid times!!!

The vids are really nice - in particular I loved Henry, Nick and Dave’s harmony in Boars head - it was spine tingling - well done lads!!!

And here’s how the Boss feels about VoiceMale.

Well said Boss - I think we all feel that way about VoiceMale and we feel the same about you too Jon.

I must admit I felt a bit weary this morning after last night. But I know we all feel for Jon (and Janice) after their punishing end of year tour - and it’s not over yet with them travelling to London today for a gig and then to Lincoln tomorrow. It’s amazing what you can do when you’re young!!!

So it just remains for me to say thank you to all of you for your friendship, positivity and camaraderie this year and for your continued support of VoiceMale - we’ve had a lot of laughs, some great gigs (who will ever forget the cock 🐓 crowing right on cue at the F&L brewery) and there’s no doubt we’re sounding better this year than ever before. My favourite gig was at Hexham with DSV’s - what about yours??

And special thanks to Jon who makes VM tick ⏰ - and to Janice and Graham who have stepped in on various occasions when Jon has not been available. Finally a big thanks to the committee who have each worked really hard behind the scenes to make VoiceMale what it is.

Next year is our 25th anniversary and we already have a dozen gigs in the pipeline - I’m sure we’ll want more. We’re going to try to organise some special events and I know Gez would really appreciate some help in organising that - so if you have some spare time next year why not volunteer to help him.

Finally, and most importantly, I hope you and your families all have a fabulous time this Christmas 🎅🏽🎄🎵🍺🤪🍷🎶and I wish you and all at VoiceMale a happy, healthy and successful New Year 🤩😎🎉.
