Friends, comrades and wanna be beach 🏖️ bums

We gave it a bit of hokey last night as the old favourite Barbara Anne once again forced her way back into the VM set list. The WhatsApp video says it all - sounds grand……listen to it on your headphones 🏄 🏄🏽‍♀️ 🏄‍♂️- Jon promised we’d do Surfin‘ Safari next week or maybe even Sloop Jon B ⛵️😂.

At a time when some of us were trembling in fear about the thought of another evening of arbiculture (that’s Trees to you lot), F#’s and strained vocal cords it was a pleasure to sing the very gentle Time has made a change in me and resurrect a few Fol de rol, Fol de days in the Gower Wassail - after all there is only 55 (no I haven’t counted them!!) shopping days to Christmas 🎄and we’ve gotta get in the mood - or more particularly it’s only 4 weeks till our first Christmassy gig!!! Logs 🪵 were duly burnt and a tricky Shepherds Arise (there a few high notes there too???) was dusted off and given a run out.

So all in all it was a gentle run out for us and we even finished a tad early - by popular demand our last song of the evening was Peat Bog Soldiers - a special request from George (secretly he really loves ❤️it!!).

We send our best wishes to the guys who are under the weather at the moment - to Steve who is on crutches after snapping his Achilles tendon, to Keith who has recently undergone hospital treatment, to Peter P who is recovering and to all those who have succumbed to this autumns tenacious lurgy 🦠. Get well soon lads. Look forward to seeing you back in action as soon as you feel able🤞🤞.

Thanks also to those of you who are not feeling on top of the world 😏but who are still able to attend the sessions even though you’re feeling a bit rough 😤🤧. I’m sure Jon’s vivacious energy rubs off and you leave the hall feeling happier than when you arrived!!!

So have a great weekend - hoping for blue skies and warm winds - be kind to each other. Onwards and upwards 👆you VoiceMale beach 🏖️ bums👍🏼👆🎶🏄‍♂️🎉🥳🎄 🚀

See yous all doon the haaall next week.

Chris.
